MEMBER MEETING HELD ON 11/05/02
Meeting held at The Play of the Day
This
was one of the quickest meetings to date due
to the unfortunate challenge presented at The
Play of the Day w/ music volume. Please accept
one last apology on behalf of the LVJBS officers
and be assured a new location will be secured
and announced for future monthly meetings.

President
Report: Greg Serensits
*The Tea Leaf Green and Zuvuya late night shows
were considered a great success.
**The JamBand Society of America is still in
motion. Many cities have expressed possible
interest in forming chapters, Boise and Anchorage
included, and the process is still underway.
***Kiss the Frog has been booked to open the
Uberschall show on November 9th at the Cheyenne
Saloon.
****It was announced that in the by-laws, it
states that only charter members, board members,
officers and committee heads will be permitted
to vote. Something will most likely change in
the by-laws to permit members to vote….to
be continued.
Vice
President: Rudy Jalio
*The Tea Leaf Green and Zuvuya shows were successful
in numbers, but could have gone a little smoother.
The same people seem to be doing the work and
more people should step up to the plate if possible.
**We are working on setting up a relationship
with Station Casinos for future shows. The idea,
for example, would be to offer the ticket buyer
a package deal for a show ticket, a room and
a buffet. A proposal has been turned in.
Treasurer:
Joe Spainer
*Profit was made at the Project Object show.
Figures were shared with members.
**We are steadily making profits at each show.
Secretary:
Meggan Frazee
*If any members at any time need work done,
please feel free to contact Meggan so that it
can be completed.
**File Maker was installed on Meggan’s
computer. Within a month or two, all members
and non-members associated with the Society
should be entered into the system.
The
following Committee Reports were made:
Production
Committee Report: George Lyons
*Tickets for November 9th show at the Cheyenne
Saloon will be $10.00

**LVJBS was pleased with the numbers at the
Zuvuya show….A public thanks to everyone
who helped make it happen.
***The Robert Walters show is a LVJBS show and
we will work the door.
Marketing
Committee Report: Ericka Ziegelmaier
*Not much this meeting, not feeling well.
**If anyone could come forward and offer an
hour or two to give lessons on Page Maker, it
would be much appreciated.
***The logo is going to be decided on soon.
It will be voted on at the next officers meeting.
By-Laws
Committee Report: Jay Brice
*The amending of the By-Laws in almost complete.
They will be sent to the IRS, most likely by
the end of the month.

Committee: Greg Serensits
* A committee chairperson is still needed for
this position. Will an interested party please
contact either Greg Serensits or Meggan Frazee.
Special
Orders: Open to all members
*For
our non-profit status we will fall under the
public charity code section, not the public
foundation code section.
**The LVJBS Family Thanksgiving Dinner Show
w/ the Alander Brothers Band will be on Weds.
November 27 at Danny’s 2. Show time is
approximately 7:00pm.
***Brainstorm w/ all members for bands we’d
like to see for the March show…
